Blessed James Alberione

Fr. James Alberione the media marvel of the 20th century church and the founder of the Pauline Family consisting of the society of St. Paul daughters of St. Paul sister disciples of the divine master and seven other media oriented institutes is now raised to honours of the Altar James Alberione was born in Alba North Italy on April 4, 1884 he was ordained priest for the diocese of Alba in 1907 while still a seminarian praying before the blessed sacraments on the night that separated the 19th century from the 20th century he had received a very special inspiration to do something for the men and women of the new century with this in mind he founded five religious congregations and five secular institutes that have come to be known as the Pauline family now spread to different countries of the world engaged in the evangelize ministry through the powerful media of communication Fr. Alberione who uniquely combined in himself relentless activity and unparalleled prayer life passed away on November 26 1971 after the holy father pope Paul paid a brief visit to him on his deathbed.
